During the preliminary rounds to facilitate travel the clubs are divided into 2 areas, Metropolitan and Mid/East Kent The preliminary rounds are played between September and March. The top 2 teams in each tournament then play semi-finals against the winners and runners-up in the other area. The winners of the semi-finals then play in finals which are usually played in May at an agreed venue.
