Apologies for the default. Late withdrawal made it impossible to find a replacement.

Hi Peter, Douglas, Zia et al,
Sorry I was away for a funeral yesterday and had to miss the match. I haven't been sent details by anyone in my team yet. However, looking at the scoresheet above, I think Gravesend have to claim a half point penalty as the average grade has to be that of the named players, I believe, and this is 158. Can this opinion be confirmed or refuted? If the former, can the final score be amended? If the latter, I apologise! Thanks, Dave C
Half point penalty applied. Rule 7.4

PS I once again feel sorry for the player who has given up an evening to play, travelled to the venue etc and gets no reward if his / her opponent defaults. Why can this player not be credited with, for example, his / her grade plus 10? Dave C
