Urmston notified us that one player was ill at 8am on match day so we played 5 boards

While Bolton may have agreed to play 5 boards due to an opponent being ill, it has to be fair to all teams in the division that the game is initially recorded as a default by Urmston and that a game point is deducted for informing Bolton less than 24 hours before the start of the match (and not informing the MCF at any time). However, if they wish, Urmston may appeal to the MCF against the deducted penalty point, stating the relevant circumstances.

thanks we will appeal with this as we did have 6 players and informed straight away for it
