We started the evening knowing a win for either team would take them top of the league, Wimborne brought a strong team as did Highcliffe. Board 2 first to finish with an early draw. Mark and Ken agreed a draw in what seemed to me a complex position. It left boards 3 and 4 to decide the result. Both games went to the wire Andy and John down to increments ,eventually Andy prevailed shortly followed by Rob grinding down Colin. So 3-1 the reverse score to earlier in the season. Thank you Wimborne for another great match . RU

Highcliffe make their move
Just added a more detailed comment only to see it vanish when I verified the result so suffice to say well done to Highcliffe who performed well on all four boards and have now opened up a small and possibly significant gap in a tight division with three matches left to play.
