A hard fought match , especially Boards 1 & 2 where both sets of players were locked in exciting attacking Chess where it looked like either side could win . John & Jorgen were last to finish with John on increments , he eventually flushed Jorgens King out into the open where he managed to skewer Jorgens King against his queen. Peter's defence held out against Davids pressing attack where he pushing hard, but faltered. Board 3 was 1st finish where Steve gave the respect to the up and coming Leo in a relatively straightforward game . My game against Harshal hinged on his weak white squared Bishop getting stuck on the back rank enabling me to impose a dominating Rook that helped home a Passed Pawn . GH
