While the scoreline looks relatively comfortable for Bournemouth, it does not tell the full story. Unfortunately I did not see much of the other 3 boards, but I know all were competitive. With Bournemouth needing a win and the score being 2-1, I was tasked with defending a rook vs Knight and Bishop after fantastic middle game play by Steve. Ultimately, after over 3 hours of pressuring, Steve blundered a Knight as well as loosing his deadly pass pawn. This gifted me a win but more importantly puts the pressure on Highcliffe for Friday...
