A first win of the season for New Milton keeps hopes alive of staying up. We got off to a good start when Wimborne had a no-show. Things got better when Ross won on board 4 against a much higher graded opponent - which bodes well for a rapid rise up the ratings for our find of the season. The game on board 2 ended in a draw after a very even, well played match. Last, but not least, to finish was board 1. A bishop each of the same color and four pawns each in the end game looked like a draw but not certain - with Mark pushing for a breakthrough. Reenen defended well and the match ended in an agreed draw. Thanks to Wimborne for a match played in great spirit.
