A competitive match. Unfortunately Poole B caught a Southbourne A team fighting for their Division One survival. James Forster played well to win a tactical game in 17 moves with the Black pieces. Martin Simons also won in 17 moves with the Black pieces following an error by his opponent. Jon Catchpole was a pawn up when he agreed a draw to secure the victory. The game of the night was a fine sacrificial win by Russ Pegg. Poole B deserve lots of credit for a great season achieving 9 points in the top division, often outgraded by many of their opponents. Almost certainly, this result means Wimborne B will be relegated.
