Southbourne A v Poole B
A good win for Southbourne A in a tight match. Toby Miller secured Poole's first division status with his draw against Len. It was a tall order to win 4-0 especially with Oscar Garcia ( 198 ) returning on board 1. So it is bad luck on Highcliffe A who are relegated on game difference.

last night's match
We needed just the 1/2 point to secure 1st division status and it was tough playing against a committed Southbourne A team playing for position and pride. Toby secured the point with the draw not before Chip went down to a fine game by Bruce and Dragi lost his pawn advantage to also go down - do not mention the draw! Oscar secured the only win against Gregor who defended very bravely until the end. Well done Southbourne and nice to see so many friendly faces there. Hard luck Highcliffe but as Arnie said - ' you will be back'
