Close match fought over all boards. I was the first to finish by 8:10 and them Matt gave his queen away cheaply but had knights and his rooks to checkmate in the corner. Tom lost to sustained pressure and Ken held on for the draw with a rook and bishop against a rook and pawns. A great nights enterainment . Thx to Southborne for playing their part.

Highcliffe B v Southbourne B
A gallant effort from Southbourne conceding more than 200 points on some boards. Well done Jason carrying on the good form of recent weeks. I was fortunate to draw having blundered a bishop.
