A really hard fought match with early wins to Crewe but Alsager fought back to just edge the win.

Congratulations to Alsager
Congratulations to Alsager on a terrific result to beat Crewe tonight. A match that ebbed and flowed and was in the balance right to the end, with a twist in the tail that saw Alsager prevail on another packed night at The Mals, where chess was the real winner !

Well done
Well done Alsager. At one point I was checking the cupboard for the silver polish, but Alsager fought back to win the cup, again.
