Highcliffe welcomed Dorchester C on another wet and windy evening, the two teams were closely matched and so it proved. Rob and Mark took a quick draw and myself and David did the same. It was down to boards 2 and 4. Tim and Andy battled hard, as did Matt and Chris. Both games were unclear with fortunes changing. It settled to a point each. So an honourable drawn match. Thanks to Dorchester for another sporting match. Best RU

Not much seemed to happen on
Not much seemed to happen on Boards 1 and 3. Everyone tried but the games both quickly petered out into draws. Boards 2 and 4 fluctuated considerably with all 4 players having winning chances at some point in the evening. In the end Tim managed to win a rook and pawn ending while Chris survived a dangerous attack. Many thanks to Highcliffe for a well contested match.
