On Board 4 a draw was agreed quite early on. On Board 1 there was an interesting battle in a King's English, Phil R played too passively at a critical point in the game which allowed Phil S to gain the winning advantage. On Board 2 there was a bishop and pawn ending which, at one point had looked quite even, however Peter Thompson was able to queen a pawn and win the game. On Board 3, Andrew Fawcett was a rook up but Andrei managed to earn the draw by harrying White's king.
