Oleg was the first to finish, having won a pawn then a piece, I understand, and then had a strong position. Martin had a choice of pawn takes, chose the wrong one, but as Peter offered a draw, he accepted. Danny and Cliff were happy to agree a draw in an equal position. Barry's was the longest game. Exchanges worked in Phil's favour. Finally, Phil could queen a pawn before Barry would be able to, but as the queen swap would leave Phil with a pawn majority on the opposite side of the board, Barry resigned.
As could be expected in a match with such strong players, the result was 2-2.
