Well done both teams in a very close match that was all square after 3 results, Joe took advantage of an extra pawn and won an accurate end game to take the points for Poole. It was great to see all the kids play tonight and thanks to Southbourne for coming along and playing in a very sporting match.

Poole Bishops vs Southbourne Seagulls: Juniors dominate!
It was wonderful and so encouraging to see 5 juniors (3 from Southbourne Seagulls, 2 from Poole Bishops) playing.
Honours were even after 3 games were completed with good wins for Harry Mercer (Poole Bishops) on Board 4 and Finn Schell (Southbourne Seagulls) on Board 3 with a fantastic, and very maturely played, hard fought draw between Zander and Florence on Board 1.
In the end, Poole Bishops' reserve, Joe Wood, edged it winning the final match to be completed in a largely tight game.
Well done to all.
