A convincing win for Lytham, reflecting their grade advantage on each board.
When I first had a chance to look at the matches, Ken was agreeing a draw and boards two and three were in the end-game with slightly better positions for Lytham in both cases, Next time I looked both David and Peter had unstoppable passed pawns and Lytham had won both matches.
On board one Phil appeared to sacrifice the exchange for a strong attack and good control of the dark squares. Simon sacrificed it back, but Phil was able to win a pawn, and slowly improved his position in the end-game to convert the win.
