ABI/Zurich proved their first cycle defeat of Barclays was no fluke when beating them for the second time, 2½-1½, to take a clear lead for the first time. ABI/Zurich 14½, Barclays 13½. ABI/Zurich would need to beat Ombudsmen 3-1 in the last round to stay ahead.
