Lincoln win on board elimination.
JTW/Cornhill kindly agreed to switch this fixture to their own venue. However, their hospitality was not repaid! A 2-2 draw meant the elimination procedures kicked in. On the first level of elimination, namely board count, the teams were still level (total numbers of boards won 5 apiece). Next, boards were removed from the bottom board up until a result. The excellent win of Les Burgess on the bottom board was removed — this left Lincoln the winners. The cup holders, JTW/Cornhill, were thus eliminated. Lincoln move on and play ABI/Zurich. JTW/Cornhill make their first ever appearance in the Durham - they meet HSE for a place in the final against the Ombudsmen.
