Board 4 result
Over the board, Carl Hetherington (1997) won against Sinthujan Sivanesan (unrated) but Haysmacintyre appealed against this result to the City Chess Association governing committee on the basis that Carl was ineligible to play on board 4 as per section 2.6.4 of the competition rules. This appeal was upheld and the result on board 4 will now be counted as a default win for Haysmacintyre and, for rating purposes, as a win for Carl in a rated friendly game.
