Thank you Martin for arranging the match in convivial surroundings which was needed as the weather turned during the evening. I am sure the overall score flattered us and especially as we conceded on Bd 1 and you very sportingly declared it an overall default. It was really good to see a wider section of players on both teams given a chance to play and enjoy chess. Also, great to see the return of Mike Jay and to produce a winning endgame.
