Great to see two matches keenly contested. Eric’s young guns were more than a match for the castles and truth be told probably should have won on boards 2 and 3 , but not wanting to humiliate us they took their feet of the throttle. We will gratefully take the draw and off to Bournemouth next week. Have a great season guys you are the future of chess. RU

In another full house at the
In another full house at the British Legion all three young guns did themselves proud and thanks to Krzystoff we squared the match 2-2. Personally from a distance, it was a fair result. It was good to see new players competing from Highcliffe together with Ron Salinger and appreciate the kind comments from Richard. We look forward to the return and good luck to the Highcliffe Castles.
