Dorchester got off to a good start with Dave Hardie repeating a sharp Benko line he played against Ian Clark the previous week (at which his opponent Frank Pittman was present!). The game didn't last long. Kevin and Ronnie had good positions and both converted. My position was bad, very bad and it looked like I might not even make it to move 12. Fortunately for me both Andrew (and I) did not calculate the closing position correctly and instead of retaking on c3 with the pawn he took back with the king which lost on the spot. Many thanks to Dorchester and we look forward to the return match later in the season.
