Oleg began with his K & Q on the wrong squares, but after this early correction, he continued with his normal winning style. Oleg's endgame included an advanced king with passed pawns coming through. Geoff had one pawn that queened, taken by Oleg's rook which fell to Geoff's king, but there was then no opposition to Oleg'a pawns, and Geoff resigned. Paul created a solid position against Sebastien, and forced a win. Kevin and Danny fought out the longest game, with Danny gaining the advantage with the pawns he had picked up early in the game. Joyal had a kingside attack which left him with a queen but no rooks. The position was such that Peter had no threatening moves he could make, with his king also very exposed, and Joyal won the day.
