A match where the score could have been anywhere between 2-2 and the actual score. A quick win for Finn on Board 3 against Chris Spence who hadn't previously played a competitive match for Bournemouth, followed by a win for Southbourne on Board 1 when John Harris came out of a central attack in the better position. At this stage, in the two remaining games, it looked equal on Board 2 whilst on Board 4, Anton for Southbourne was a piece down but with plenty of play remaining. In the end Anton had a useful pin and checkmated his opponent. The game on Board 2 lasted a while longer with Florence, having declined a draw, winning well in the endgame.

A great final match of the season with many thanks to Bournemouth for their hospitality and fighting spirit.
