Well played Wimborne
Whilst all games were interesting, the Wimborne team were the deserved winners and, if it wasn't for an oversight which led to a queen blunder on board 4, it could have been a clean sweep.

Thanks to Southbourne and
Thanks to Southbourne and hospitality ( I nabbed at least 2 biscuits ! )
There was some entertaining games. On board 3 Eddie gave up a poisoned pawn for a monster attack where all his pieces were active in the attack and eventually this told with black forced to resign.
On board 2 I was playing Len and I played a Benko and had control of the board and after Len tried to get out of the grip allowed me to sac a knight leading to fork of queen and king.
Board1 went down to the end with Allan having a strong position throughout and played the middle game really well forcing the win of a piece and a won endgame.
The win for Wimborne leaves the league very tight at the halfway point.
