For the 2020/21 season (during which the SCCU County Championships were not held due to the covid-19 pandemic) select the events for the 2020 online alternate competitions that were held from the above 'Previou Seasons' menu option.

When the over-the-board County Championships resume you will find the section fixtures and league tables (but not in tie-break order) in the Events panel on your left and participating counties in the Club panel on yiur right. They can also be viewed together from the above Fixtures and League Tables menu options.

The SCCU County Championships (which normally determine the Union's nominations for the national stages of the ECF Counties Championship) comprise the following competitions:
Open; U2050; U1850; U1650 and U1450.

During any one season (September to August) a player can only represent one county. ECF membership (mimimum bronze level for over-the-board and Supporter level for online) is required as games are ECF rated. A player must be associated with a county in one of the following ways to be eligible to play for that county:
(i) Birth in that county.
(ii) Five years’ domicile in that county at any time.
(iii) Two months’ immediate previous and present membership of a club either in or affiliated to that County.
(iv) One month’s immediately previous and present domicile in that County.
(v) Present attendance as a student at a school, college or university in that County.

The London Boroughs north of the River Thames have historically been part of Essex or Middlesex whilst those south as part of Kent or Surrey.
