Board 4 was first to finish with a draw. On board 3 Harry sacrificed a couple of pawns for an attack -- but Keith defended accurately and ended up in a winning end-game up the two pawns. In my game, white was able to get a positional advantage from the opening, with a strong centre and more space, and seemed to unrelentingly build on this advantage until Jakub had won two pawns and a queen for rook and knight.
With the game won for Bispham, Simon made the score respectable with a good win in the final game. From the point I was able to watch Simon was two pawns up in a rook and pawn end-game, and whilst Blaine made him struggle for it, he was able to convert this for a win.
