Bob's game with Ron finished first - Bob won a couple of pawns and then went on to win the game. Dave and Blaine played a Morra Gambit - Dave seemed to have a strong position for the pawn in the early middle game and eventually drew. The two Peters had a very close game and got into a pawn ending with equal material - this one also ended in a draw. Jakub managed to get an attack going against Phil's castled king and converted this into an endgame where he had a lasting advantage - he played this ending well in order to win the game and equalise for Bispham. A very good result for a Bispham side that were severely outgraded on the bottom two boards.
