A super start to the season for Poulton.
We welcomed Barry Hymer from Lancaster on board 2.
A very early finish for Barry who had a very well planned opening against Paul's trusty modern and finished in ruthless fashion.
I benefitted from an oversight from Rob who left a piece hanging and resigned immediately.
At this stage Peter was a piece up for two pawns and showed great techniqe to win.
Simon had fallen into a bit of a queen trap and never recovered.
With the match in the bag the top board agreed a draw when Roy couldn't convert a slight advantage he had had for most of the game the final position was dead level.
A great start to what should be a very close race to league champions.
