As ever the hosts provided a convivial atmosphere and all four games were very interesting with a drawn match a fair result. From the Cheddleton point of view the most impressive performance was from young Lily Brown in her first proper away game for the club. She was beating David Hackney for a long time before he used his considerable extra experience to reduce a rook and pawns ending to a king and rooks pawn versus king to get the draw.
