Fielding a much stronger team Ringwood achieved a turnaround on the first match. The individual games were close and well fought, despite being outgunned on all boards Highcliffe managed a fighting draw on board 2 and an error on board 3 allowed Tony a win. Despite almost slipping up on board 1 a strong end game finally crushed whites resistance. Board 4 finally ended with a promoted pawn and some large empty spaces. An enjoyable contest that put Ringwood on top of the newly formed Bacchus East division
