Boards 2 and 3 were the first to finish with draws being offered in positions of dynamic equality. On board 4, Richard lost 2 pawns and when he tried a temporary rook sacrifice Steve navigated his way through the complications to remain 2 pawns up which was sufficient for victory. On board 1, it was all about the battle for e4 which I thought Chris was about to win when I managed to win a pawn. In a difficult ending Chris then lost a piece for 2 pawns after which I had a relatively easy win.
