A keenly fought draw in our shiny new venue just for the Dorset League.
In his own inimitable way, Kenny won quickly. He makes chess look very simple.
I had a lovely position. However, Cip defended resolutely and eventually got and took his chance to turn the tables.
On Board one a draw was agreed in what was still a complicated position but both players were getting low on time. It looked to me as if I'd seen a similar position previously in one of their games.
Board three then agreed a draw to split the match.
The venue as one of out players said "felt like a chess club". So a successful first night at Greyfriars.
Always good to welcome Poole Chees club to Ringwood. Apologises for the rain and thanks for sharing an enjoyable night.

A good result for Poole, maybe a bit lucky to get a point. Thanks to Ringwood for their hospitality in their very nice new venue
