David & Frank both drew. Then Chris lost and it was all down to Paul. Material was equal, but Paul had a couple of doubled pawns. There was an exciting finish as Paul began to gain on Mihail and finally Mihail conceded the game after a time scramble. The Southbourne Team did well to draw the match as on average they were outgraded by an average of 11 points on each board.

New Milton B v Southbourne D
In an enjoyable evening's chess with some enterprising play from both sides
the final outcome was a draw with the honours being evenly divided. Well
played Southbourne for a good performance considering they were out graded on each board.
