A friendly final match in
A friendly final match in which Wimborne were playing one down from start as unfortunately Eddie Barker was taken ill shortly before match.
On top board Ian played a dubious opening and was soon in trouble from which he could not get out and eventually had to resign before forced mate.
On 2 John sacrificed the exchange and tied Allan's King down and in a very interesting game a draw was agreed in a double edged position.
On 3 black had the edge through the game but could not find the killer move so a draw was agreed.
Well done to Poole on the night with a deserved win.
Thanks to all Wimborne players who have contributed to winning the league title.
