Well played Wimborne A, deserved winners although on board 4 Michael played exceptionally well as a late stand in reserve for Southbourne B and he almost created an upset versus Eddie. On board 3 Russ defended well and perhaps could have scored the full point near the end with a possible tactic against Mark. The top board was tight and just as the tea break was announced Martin asked Ian if the clocks could be stopped to get a cuppa and in response Ian accepted the draw! On board 2 Allan played exceptionally well in a Queenless middlegame to smother James.
Overall, a good sporting match. Think this win, their 6th in a row, should just about secure Wimborne A the Championship!
